You've already done this!

Hello Reader,

One of the easiest ways to do better on many of the CELPIP speaking tasks, is to simply remember: you've done this before! You've likely given someone advice before, right? (That's task 1.)

You've likely shared a story about something that happened to you before. (That's task 2.) I could go on. The point: don't let the CELPIP freak you out because it's a big language exam. (And I know...I know...it is a big language exam that has a lot riding on it!)

But remember this: you've more than likely had plenty of opportunities do talk about most, if not all, of the questions you'll face on the exam in your day-to-day life.

Maybe not the exact questions you'll face.

But you've likely already experienced situations like what you'll have to speak about.

That means you have experience.

Your mindset matters! You've done this before. Don't forget it.

What speaking task gives you the most trouble? Reply and let me know. I'll try and share some helpful resources to help you.

Hi Reader, Before we get to AI, I want to tell you that it's been a long time since I have read a book for fun. My wife gave me "Out Of The Silent Planet" by C.S. Lewis for Christmas this year, and I've finally settled in to reading it. I love C.S. Lewis' writing, but I have to admit, I found the book hard to get into at first. Maybe it was the noise of my persistent sore back, or maybe it's just been so long since I read for long periods of time that I'm a little out of practice - not sure....
