Have you noticed your progress this week?

Hello Reader,

It's Saturday already! Wow, this week has gone by quickly for me. How about you? And now that my youngest is back in school, we now have had our first bouts with the flu! He's been home sick for the past few days - welcome to school life! Kids sharing everything with each other - including their germs. Happens every year!

Do you have kids in school right now? How's it going?

A quick challenge for you: pause and take look back at your week. Where have you made progress, even if it's just a little, on your CELPIP goals? Take a moment and write them down. Noticing your progress is vital to continuing to make progress!

Here's a few progress notes from my week:

  • I had the exciting privilege of interviewing Artem, a member of the CELPIP Success School, for the podcast. This was a first for me! I've never interviewed a client for the podcast before, and it went so well! Thank you Artem! I'm looking forward to sharing our interview with you soon.
  • I moved and launched my course platform for the last time. A new and wonderful home to make working together so much easier!
  • I recorded and published a new youtube video (which still feels scary to do!) and I recorded a few more!
  • I had a live call with two people who are listeners to my podcast and youtube channel - it was so exciting to talk to them and learn a little more about their CELPIP journey.

Over to you! What is one thing you accomplished this week?

CELPIP Success: The newsletter Hey Reader, I've been thinking a lot about something that I'm not particularly good at: saying what I really think - my opinion about real world issues. Not all the time, of course. But more often than I care to admit, I find that I'm thinking something about a news story, for example, but I don't express it. Happen to you? Here's what I mean: I listened to several podcast episodes this week on CBC's Frontburner (a personal favourite podcast of mine) that left...

Hello Reader, I think the typical way we are taught and try to learn grammar SUCKS. It's incredibly boring. It's usually 100% about memorizing lists of rules and verbs. And worse: this approach rarely works. It doesn't stick! Do you agree? There's a better way to learn grammar, and you don't need to waste hours and hours trying to memorize stuff you'll only forget when you need it most, like on the CELPIP exam or in the middle of a conversation, and this week's podcast will tell you all about...

Two men running on a paved road lined with lush green hanging vines

Hello Reader, Happy Saturday to you. How did your week go? Mine felt busy. More busy than I like it to be, and the crazy part: I made it that way. I created the busy but adding things to what I'm already doing, thinking that they were important to do. Like what, you may ask? The daily YouTube posting challenge I thought I'd try. I made it through a week of creating and posting shorts, and have figured out that I don't want to continue with that rhythm. Even weirder? It was a mental topic of...
