Happy Saturday friend! Have you ever stopped to check if the path you're following each day is actually taking you where you want to go? I'm not trying to get deep or woo woo on you. But this past week, it's something I've been thinking carefully about for myself and the path my feet are walking on. By path, I mean the things we do each day. Or the things we don't do. Much of the time those things are repeated over and over again. The work we go to, and the tasks we engage in during our work day. The things we get up to when we get home, the tv shows we watch, the people we spend time with...all those repeated activities turn into a kind of path - a direction our life moves in. So back to that question...is your path taking you in the right direction? Second, and maybe more important question that I'm also pondering: if you don't like where the path is taking you, today might be a good time to begin shifting it in a different direction. **** Don't forget: confidence and fluency with your English don't come first so that you can begin practicing. That's backwards. Confidence and fluency actually grow when you do this. An 87 year old friend of mine, who is also a fellow introvert, taught me a valuable conversation strategy this week that might just help you speak with more self-confidence. It worked great for her! **** This newsletter is brought to you by the CELPIP Success School - THE most introvert friendly spot on the internet to get ready for the CELPIP! My next small group cohort won't open until August. But if that's too long to wait, you can dive in and begin working on your CELPIP with me right now - minus the super small group! :) Have you used AI to help you practice your English? So far using AI as a conversation and writing buddy is winning the survey when it comes to how you are (or not) using AI with your English skills and CELPIP prep. Would you like to vote?
Bonus question: would you like to talk about what your experience was like? I'd love to interview you for a podcast episode that I'm working on! Interested? Just reply and say, "YES!" Thank you for reading! Have a lovely (and hopefully sunny and warm) weekend! Aaron |

Hello Reader, This week I read a post on LinkedIn that got me thinking about AI, and this week's podcast is based on what I've been thinking about. We hear things like, "AI is coming for this or that position" which means it's going to replace someone's job. Maybe you've heard stuff like that too? And I sometimes find myself wondering the same about the work I do. Could I get replaced? Sesame Street No GIF by Muppet Wiki Here's the thing: AI IS having a deep impact in our world. Hello Reader, One of the top mistakes CELPIP test takers make with speaking task 3 is trying to talk about everything in the image. This is a trap! Do this instead.
